With the assistance of CMA Argoudelis & CO S.A., another seminar, introductory to the principles and use of pneumatics in the automation control was carried out from 22 to 23 February 2021. This time, it focused on common shipboard applications, including the maneuvering system of a MAN B & W MC engine, the Valve Remote Control System and Cargo AUS.
The overall aim is to assist the Engineer Officers understand the basic principles of compressed air automation control systems, by explaining the design of a pneumatic system, the various types of speed, flow, directional and force valves, etc. and carrying out practice on the electropneumatic panels that the company has donated to ATHINA MLDC.
