Training Coordinator

ATHINA Training Center is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Training Coordinator. As a Training Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating the training programs and ensuring the professional development of our seafarers and shore employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the training calendar, including scheduling training sessions, booking venues, and ensuring necessary resources and materials are available.
  • Coordinate attendance at scheduled seminars to prioritize and ensure prompt coverage of needs:
    • Engage with interested parties for communication,
    • Review training requests in the company’s ERP system,
    • Evaluate certificate expiry of Officers and other training needs and handle all necessary software usage and related tasks.
  • Organize travel and lodging for attendees of the seminars in partnership with travel agencies and hotels.
  • Serve as the point of contact between the training center and its internal and external partners.
  • Assist in the management of purchase orders pertaining to the accommodation and travel arrangements for Officers.
  • Provide administrative support for all activities at the training center, including admissions, registrations, and reception of trainees.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in training and development.

 
Reporting Structure: You will report to the Training Center Manager
 
Qualifications/Skills

  • University or College degree in Shipping and Maritime studies, or Business Administration or AEN diploma.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Training Coordinator, preferably in a Training Organization or a shipping company.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal).
